We run our own in-house projects, such as Community Cafe and Community Job Club.
If you would like to support us by volunteering at Community Cafe or Job Club, please call into the office for a chat ( Mon-Fri 9.30 – 12.30).
Our Community Cafe team are offering anyone, aged 18 and over, the experience to work in their kitchen on a Wednesday morning, from 8.30 am – 1 pm.
They will learn all the skills necessary to run a cafe and will have assistance in passing their Certificate in Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene.
We have a very friendly team, who will provide the training. After the basics have been learned, the new team member will shadow the chef, with a view to being able to take charge occasionally in the future.
This is a work experience opportunity, so is unpaid, but will provide a great way to enhance your CV and to gain the Level 2 qualification, not to mention making new friends and learning new skills!
