Toy Library

The Rickmansworth Toy Library was set up in November 1996 by the WRVS and became an independant charity in March 2003. Originally situtated at the WRVS in Berry Lane, Mill End the library moved in September 2008 to Mill End Community Centre.

The Library provides a toy lending service for children from birth to eight years old. As a charity it is entirely run by volunteers. Grants and donations provide the finance to buy new toys and retail quality items.

Range of Toys: The toy library has an excellent selection of top quality toys with something to please everyone. New toys are bought regularly to ensure the latest trends are represented. Alongside the general assortment of toys, we have a number of large toys in order that people can hire them out for special occasions, such as parties. There is also a section of toys especially for children with special needs.

Relax: Relax and chat with other parents whilst your child tries out the toys.

Value: The toy library offers exceptional value for money. We offer an annual family membership – so you don’t have to worry about the number of children you might have – for only £5.00. you will need to show two forms of identification to join. This entitles you to borrow toys for a fortnight. Prices vary from 30p for smaller toys to £4.00 for larger toys. This means you can now give your child a constantly changing selection of toys.

The toy library is open every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
